Umbrella Dementia Cafés

Umbrella Dementia Cafés is an interconnected community of informal and multigenerational community social groups for families and people living dementia.
We believe the key to personal well-being is social connectedness and having a supportive community who understands, accepts and includes you.
Through our Umbrella Dementia Cafés (UDC), we empower people living with dementia to regain their autonomy, boost their self-esteem and improve their social well-being, while providing peer-to-peer support to those in the caring role.
Community Bank Southern Peninsula
The Community Bank Southern Peninsula has been a great supporter of our local Men’s Sheds, in particular the Point Nepean Men’s Shed.
We have received financial support with funding our “Mobile Workshop”, upgrades to our kitchen at the Hangar, and supporting our activities with Uniforms4U and Umbrella Dementia Cafes.
We have enjoyed sponsorship for events we have staged in aid of disadvantaged families and those living with dementia. “Comedy by the Bay” in 2024 was a huge success. Now in 2025, we are looking for an even better night through Community Bank support.
